The Ordinary Foundations Review & Swatches
Since ColourPop rocked the beauty community, there has not been such a big run on The Ordinary Foundations! Once praised by Wayne Goss for the sky and the beautyjunkies were as keen as neighbor's lumpi!
The Ordinary Foundations also have everything the hype heart desires:
- With a price of 6,70 €/6,90 € each, they are super cheap and therefore accessible for everyone
- The color selection is gigantic but easy to understand
- The Design is cool, modern and minimalist and the pump just comes in handy
I used to pounce on Foundations and chase them to the bone. As an old Foundation Junky, the fancy little bottles fall right into my grid. But NO! I could wait for the first hype wave and read the first reviews in peace. The dear Anonymiss had offered their two copies for sale on Twitter and since it was exactly MY colors, I fell out of pure curiosity!
There are two The Ordinary Foundations :
The Ordinary Serum Foundation
"lightweight pigment suspension system with moderate coverage"
- very fluid and can also be applied very thin
- medium opacity
- not suitable for layering, otherwise it settles
- medium opacity
- make a nice, natural skin
- best with a brush, the sponge absorbs the thin texture
The Ordinary Coverage Foundation *
"high spreadability pigment suspension system with high coverage"
- extremely high opacity
- a little harder to disperse
- looked at me despite thin layer "cakey" off
- medium shelf life
- otherwise not overwhelming, The Revlon Colorstay Foundation is better for high opacity!
Swatches:
The Ordinary Serum Foundation in 1.2 Y - The Ordinary Coverage Foundation in 1.2 YG
Easily recognizable - I really like the Ordinary Serum Foundation better than the Coverage Foundation! Although I do not like the shelf life (after 8 hours of clear wear on the chin and nose), but I'm also very spoiled by the Revlon Colorstay Foundation .
Another clear advantage for me is the selection the nuances. I love the strong yellow cast of the two Foundations! Even pink faces will find it. The 1.2 color depth is roughly equivalent to MAC NC20.

If we ignore the price, , then the Serum Foundation is a solid one for me good foundation with great color choices. I will continue to wear it in everyday life, but it is not a Holy Grail for me.
IF, however, we take the extremely low price in the calculation, I can the Sexappeal In the beauty community in any case understand!
