The most common questions about my life change!
Those are the most common questions I get when people hear that I've lost 35 pounds:
How did you manage to lose so much and be held now?
Healthy eating and sports for a lifetime!
What else are you eating?
Many think losing weight has something to do with starvation do. Au contraire! In the meantime, I am even eating more in terms of quantity than I did before my weight loss journey. But instead of eating chocolate and fast food, I eat a lot more healthy foods and cook myself. I make sure that I eat well, so I include all food groups (whole grains, fish, dairy, fruit, meat, fat, etc.) in my diet/p>
When is your fasting over?
My hate question, as it goes against the principle of my life change. I do not fast - fasting has only a temporary effect! My healthy diet and exercise routine is life-long. That's the only way I can avoid the yo-yo effect and setbacks do not throw me off track.
How do you feel after losing weight?
I feel like I've finally arrived. Instead of my weight, I can now focus on a thousand other beautiful things in life. I do not have to be scared that I loose my life on vacation on a city tour. I feel freer, more confident and lighter - both mentally and physically!
Do you do sports?
Yes! After doing endurance sports (running) for a long time now, I am concentrating on strength training and muscle building. I try to go to the gym after work as often as possible. That's sometimes 5 times a week, some weeks I can not even get it!
How can you afford that? Is not healthy food expensive?
Not at all. Although I have come to a point where I like to invest more money in high-quality, sustainably grown food, but even with the smallest budget you can eat healthy. A 2-kilo sack of carrots costs just € 2 and if you roast them with salt, pepper and olive oil in the oven, you have a delicious vegetable garnish for a week!
Do you count calories? If so, how many do you eat a day and what is the basal metabolic rate?
Yes, I counted 1 1/2 years of calories to get a feel for the nutritional value of food. It has been a fairly long time and I am currently trying to rely on my intuition again. At that time, I had intended to eat 1600 kcal with a height of 1.76 m and 75 kg → 65 kg. I have some criticisms here and calorie counting is a topic that I would like to discuss in a separate post!
4 x Healthy and Creamy Overnight Oats! Every Thursday in February I introduced you to a new Overnight Oats recipe: bounty, apple walnut, peanut butter banana and espresso with salted date caramel. Which combination is your favorite? Ein (▶ ️ Recipes you can find all on the blog!) #Einpummelwirdfit

How Can I Cope with Healthy Eating in a Stressful Day?
1. Planning! I'm preparing my breakfast for the entire week on Sunday evening, so I save time in the morning. This can also be done for lunch and dinner!
→ My Breakfast Meal Prep Routine
2. Just have no finished products at home . Healthy snacks such as nuts, grapes, or homemade muesli bars at work instead of grabbing the candy bars on the secretarial counter.
What are you doing against weight loss? ?
I've already written a post on weight loss. The most important tips summarized:
Be honest with you and Take a close look at your routines - do you really eat the way you should and actually build movement into your everyday life?
Losing weight through nutrition is only possible up to a point. Do sports, if you want to get ahead!
Do not get on the scales too often, but at regular intervals at the same time of day (with me: on Saturdays after getting up). But the weight alone says little. The body stores sometimes more, sometimes less water and muscles are heavier than fat! So, do not let your emotions get out of balance.Did you have phases that went bad and how can you motivate yourself?
Of course, there are always phases in which I do would like to throw everything. Therefore, you can not rely on your willpower to live a healthy life, but you have to rely on habits and routines. In the meantime, I no longer think about when I'm in the supermarket and automatically grab vegetables and fruits instead of chocolate bars. As soon as something becomes a habit, it is part of life as a matter of course.

What do you do with cravings and Desire?
My big bet, to not let food cravings emerge at all: Avoid foods that cause your blood sugar to rise (SUGAR!). If your blood sugar levels are more or less on the same level, you have no cravings. A well-balanced breakfast (oatmeal with egg whites and some fruit) is the most important meal for me, because otherwise I get extremely fast and hungry. So I eradicated 90% of my cravings. Besides, I just do not have any sweets left at home and if I really want a peanut butter Magnum, then I just eat one. But a big bowl of quark with fruit is much easier now!
I'm on vacation and in 3h my plane goes to Singapore 🙌🙌🙌 This is celebrated with a Mexican breakfast (I know, very suitable 😝): fried eggs with sheep's cheese, zucchini with Mexican all-rounder of @justspices, avocado with guacamole spice and a slice Homemade Oatmeal Chia Bread! Culinary, it will be here next week logically asian ☺️ For more travel diary photos is best to my main account @creamsbeautyblog ein #einpummelwirdit post by carina (@einpummelwirdfit) on
What does your friend say?
My friend was mine Great motivation to take off, because he went the same way with a year ahead! When he was really athletic and I was still chubby, he never put me under pressure or criticized me. I am very grateful to him for that. Fitness and nutrition is now our common hobby and when we see each other (he currently lives in Singapore) we both enjoy nature and sports! As a result, our relationship has significantly improved in quality.
Are you obsessed with healthy diet and exercise?
A very difficult topic! Because it is not easy to find a balance between slimming and intuitive lifestyle. Because if my relationship to nutrition and sport were inherently intuitive, I would not have weighed nearly 100 kg.You automatically become more involved with new recipes, fitness routines, and get to know a whole new social media community. This can quickly become an obsession and should be treated with caution so as not to fall into an eating disorder or sports addiction!
Do I need to use protein powder and fitness food to lose weight?
For me, protein powder and the like are a small part of my largely natural and healthy diet. With the powder you can make delicious recipes , which definitely helped me to keep up my new diet. Are you a must? Definitely not. You can also incorporate eggs, chicken breast, meat, lentils, quark and nuts protein into the diet. But since I do not want to eat chicken breast every day, for example, I also use protein powder in my meals.

Got it after the big decrease problems with hanging skin?
From my cup size 75 E is (luckily) little left over and of course the chest hangs, if one "omits the fat". Also on upper arms and thighs, I have many stretch marks and the skin is wobbling. The hanging skin is one of the reasons why I want to tighten my body with strength training. But I do not have the right skin aprons.
What's next?
As I said: My life change is life-long! I will continue to eat mainly balanced and full food and exercise. My current challenges are getting away from the calorie count and being able to better assess my portions and strength training.
