The Revlon Colorstay Foundation ... Hach, what does she wake up memories in me! New to the drugstore and worth the hype? I'll tell you!

Revlon Colorstay Foundation - worth the hype?

The Revlon Colorstay Foundation * ... Hach, what does she wake up memories in me! Do you remember back then, when all of you either applied the Colorstay Foundation (drug gurus) or the MAC Studio Fix Foundation (high end gurus) with the MAC 109 Blush Brush ?

ALL have done it, but that the brush was constantly losing hair and actually not suitable for the order of liquid foundation, we have ignored. An awesome time when make-up tutorials often resembled painting-by-numbers .

Anyway, the Revlon Colorstay Foundation has long been known to me. Since SEVEN FUCKING YEARS to be precise:

My first Review of the Colorstay Foundation of 2010!

 Revlon Colorstay Foundation

In 7 years, of course, a lot is happening. Revlon was once on the German market, retired and for a few months, the products are back in the drugstore.

The Colorstay Foundation has changed:

  • The higher sunscreen suggests a new formulation
  • The bottle has a pump (Halleluja!)
  • The color scale now begins in Germany at 110 Ivory and not at 180 Sand Beige

What has changed in the last 7 years?

My mad Make Up Skillzzzz.

Back then, I did not get along with the Foundation , I wore a far too big amount and had Cake Face par excellence. So I sold her and tested myself through 60 other foundations, to land with her again.

See there - a small amount of Revlon Colorstay Foundation paired with a Make Up Sponge and the complexion looks like china!

The Revlon Colorstay Foundation ...

  • ... has high opacity
  • ... is available in two versions: Normal/Dry (miniminimini shimmer particles) and Combination/Oily (matte as fudge)
  • ... has a matte finish (both versions)
  • ... lasts 10 hours on my skin without powdering at 32 ° C outside temperature
  • ... darkens after the order 1/2 Nuance to
  • ... is a drugstore alternative to the Estée Lauder Double Wear

Swatches 150 Buff in Normal/Dry and Combination/Oily

Revlon Colorstay F oundation

SHOCK HEAVY NOT! Blasphemy! Have I compared a foundation to my divine double wear ?! Yes baby. The Double Wear I like a bit better (a little more natural on the skin), but is also twice as expensive as the Colorstay AND HAS NO PUMP.

The job with the brush is now also possible fine, but the sponge is simply undefeated. That's why I bought a pack of 4 Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponges today, so I can take one every day from the bathroom to the make-up room. Laziness triumphs.

Let's go to the Nuance 150 Buff. I would see them in the NC15 area, so they are suitable for very light skins. I find it irritating that the Normal/Dry variant of 150 Buff is rosaner in undertone than the Combination/Oily.It's best to apply a thin layer with a make-up sponge!
