Walnut Apple Overnight Oats recipe
For me, the highlight of any hotel breakfast is Birchermuesli! Even before I had anything to do with all the chores and healthy nutrition, I loved Birchermüsli. Subconsciously, it was already clear to me that the combination of apple, nuts and milk protein is a good, satisfying thing.
As a small ode to the beautiful breakfast buffets, I have geared my walnut apple Overnight Oats to birchermuesli. My recipe completely dispenses with protein powder, but packs through the lean quark neat egg whites in the breakfast!
Of course you can do without the decoration. I usually just rasp the whole apple and chop all the walnuts. But you should not underestimate how much better you feel about a meal, if you spend a few extra seconds on pretty dishes! I always make an effort to make my food as appetizing as possible without spending minutes
Walnut Apple Overnight Oats Recipe
1 serving, approx. 430 kcal
- 40 g oatmeal
- 3 walnuts
- 10 g Chia Seeds
- 1/2 grated apple
- 100 g skim curd
- one pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon honey/Stevia/Xucker or 3 drops of Flavor Drops Vanilla
- some milk or water
- Decoration: 3 walnuts and apple slices
Instructions
- Lightly toast walnuts in a dry pan. Chop 3 walnuts, 3 for decoration.
- Sprinkle some apple slices with lemon juice and set aside. Grate the remaining apple.
- Mix all ingredients except the three whole walnuts and apple slices in an airtight container and leave in the fridge overnight. Add so much water or milk to make the porridge slightly watery.
- Garnish with walnuts and apple slices the next morning and enjoy!

Just like the Bircher muesli, you can also add a dash of lemon juice , depending on how sour your apple is!
