Oatmeal Spice recipe
You may be wondering which brand my is Oatmeal Spice Recipe was inspired! As much as I liked the ready-made Oatmeal Spice, it was empty after a short time. To use the 5 € for 5 times I find too expensive, that's why I simply cobbled together my Oatmeal Spice and individualized it
After some recipe attempts with already ground almonds the spark simply did not want to skip. That's why I roasted whole almonds and grated coconut in the pan until the whole kitchen smelled of patisserie and then chopped the almonds into powder in my beloved coffee grinder * . What a difference! So you can also check if you want some more coarse almonds for more crunch in your Oatmeal Spice (I'll do that next time).
Stay When roasting, be sure to stand next to the stove, especially the grated coconut will turn brownish fast!
The remaining ingredients:
- Ginger Powder is available in every Asiashop and gives the spice a slightly crisp, fruity note. I also like to use it in the curry!
- Cocoa powder should have a very good quality. It's worth investing here!
- I always add a pinch of salt to each sweet to bring out the sweet taste. Give it a try!
- Ground vanilla is incredibly expensive (I found the cheapest deal on Amazon * , 50g/10 €), but You can also grind a pod to powder with your grinder.
- Sweeteners are optional, but I've already noticed that 1/2 TL Xucker * (Calorie-free sugar substitute, also available at the drugstore), intensify the flavor of the Oatmeal Spice.
